Ezekiel 20:13-14

13 Yet the house of Israel (A)rebelled against Me in the wilderness; they did not walk in My statutes; they (B)despised My judgments, (C)‘which, if a man does, he shall live by them’; and they greatly (D)defiled My Sabbaths. Then I said I would pour out My fury on them in the (E)wilderness, to consume them. 14 (F)But I acted for My name’s sake, that it should not be profaned before the Gentiles, in whose sight I had brought them out.

13 “But[a] in the desert the house of Israel rebelled against me; they did not walk in my statutes,[b] and they rejected my regulations, which, if a person does them, he will live by them, and they greatly profaned my Sabbaths, and I decided to pour out my rage on them in the desert to destroy them, 14 and I acted for the sake of my name, that it not be profaned before the eyes of the nations before whom I brought them out.[c]
